Jesy Nelson shares heartwarming video of twins laughing during SMA fight
Jesy Nelson delights fans with a charming new video of her twin girls laughing
Jesy Nelson has delighted fans with a charming new clip of her laughing twin daughters.
The singer’s mother, Janice, is seen cuddling one of the twins, who bursts into giggles as her grandma gently tickles her neck with her face.
In a different portion of the video, Jesy, 34, chuckles softly as she comments on her daughter's tiny mullet hairstyle, and she amusingly compares the other to a Cabbage Patch doll while running her fingers through her hair.
The nine-month-old siblings, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, appear joyful and deeply cherished in the delightful Instagram footage.
The singer gave birth to her twins a bit earlier than expected at 31 weeks, and she is no longer in a relationship with their father, music producer Zion Foster.
Last month, Jesy courageously disclosed that her infants have been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1).
The incurable condition leads to muscle degeneration, but identifying it early and undergoing treatment can greatly enhance the outlook.
The girls have received gene therapy to halt further muscle loss, though it can't undo existing damage.
Without intervention, a child with SMA Type 1 generally has a life expectancy of two years.
Jesy and Zion have been informed that it’s improbable the girls will walk and they may encounter significant challenges with breathing and swallowing.
Approximately only 50 children annually are born with this condition in the UK.
