LeAnn Rimes has reflected on the growth and evolution of her relationship with Eddie Cibrian as the couple approaches a major milestone: 15 years of marriage.

In a new interview with E! News published Thursday, the 43-year-old singer-songwriter described how her marriage to the 52-year-old actor has “gotten easier” over the years.

“We've evolved so much. We've been through so much together,” Rimes said. “Now our boys, my stepsons are 22 and 18. They're grown boys. And to help raise his sons, we have a very calm life, which is wonderful. And it didn't start out that way at all, but now, we've really grown into — we just love each other. We love being around each other. We laugh a lot. He's just a good guy, he really is."

She added, “So, 15 years is wild to think about that it's been that long. But so far, so good."

Rimes is stepmother to Cibrian’s two sons, Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville.

She described how their blended family has brought stability to their relationship.

“He's also a creator, and it's nice to have that kind of relationship where he understands what I do, I understand what he does. We just make it work,” Rimes said. “We come first before anything, and we always make sure that's the case."

The couple met on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2008. Both were married to other people at the time, but after ending their respective marriages in 2009, they began dating, got engaged in 2010, and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in California in 2011.

Rimes previously told People in 2017 that the secret to her lasting marriage is simple: respect and presence.

“It just works. We respect each other; respect is a big deal, and once you lose that, you've kind of lost everything. He's a wonderful father and a really good man. He's kind to me, and I reciprocate,” she said.

In a September 2025 interview, Rimes added, “It's about just being present with each other, honestly. You think you know someone, but in 15 years, you evolve so much. It's like learning every day when you wake up. It's important to stand by all the incarnations of each other."
