Neighbors release video of vehicle driving away from Nancy Tucson Residence
The new ring camera video comes from a home outside the sheriff’s initial search radius
Neighbors of Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie, have shared new Ring camera footage showing a car speeding down a road near her Tucson, Arizona, home just minutes after her abduction on Feb. 1.
The footage, obtained by Fox News, comes from neighbors Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas, who live roughly 2.5 miles from Guthrie’s residence.
Their property sits on a back road that leads out of the neighborhood while avoiding major intersections.
The Stratigouleases said authorities had not canvassed their area in the 25 days following the disappearance.
One of the videos, recorded around 2:36 a.m., aligns with the timeline of Nancy’s pacemaker disconnecting from her iPhone approximately eight minutes earlier, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office confirmed awareness of the footage but has not said whether it provides a lead in the investigation.
Authorities initially requested Ring camera footage from homes within a two-mile radius of Guthrie’s home, focusing on the time windows of Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight, and Jan. 31 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Stratigouleases’ home falls outside both the radius and requested timeframe.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, has now been missing for nearly a month. Earlier this week, Savannah Guthrie announced that her family is offering up to $1 million for information leading to her mother’s recovery, and an additional $500,000 is being donated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The FBI’s $100,000 reward remains active.
Surveillance footage from Nancy’s Nest door camera shows an armed, masked intruder approaching her front door.
Authorities believe the intruder tampered with the camera. According to the timeline, the doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m., motion was detected at 2:12 a.m., and her pacemaker disconnected from the app at 2:28 a.m.
Nancy was last seen by family after dinner with her daughter Annie Guthrie on the night of Jan. 31 and was reported missing the following day after missing a virtual church service with neighbors.
