Shia LaBeouf has found himself in trouble once more, now facing an added misdemeanor charge of simple battery.

This stems from a recent incident in New Orleans where he reportedly attacked several individuals, according to the Associated Press.

The actor had previously been detained and released on bail following the February b17 bar altercation where he allegedly struck patrons and used anti-gay language.

The former Transformers actor is now up against three charges, with his next court date set for March 19.

City police earlier reported that LaBeouf was "causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive" at a Royal Street establishment just outside the French Quarter.

His lawyer, Sarah Chervinsky, informed the AP that LaBeouf turned himself in voluntarily to the Orleans Parish Prison after being informed of the new arrest warrant issued the previous day.

"No ordinary individual would need to post over $100,000 in bail and be jailed twice for a single misdemeanor event," Chervinsky stated. "While he shouldn't receive special treatment, Mr. LaBeouf also shouldn't be judged more harshly by the authorities simply because he is in the public eye."

This revelation aligns with LaBeouf's extensive interview with Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, where he spoke about his previous legal troubles, journey to sobriety, spiritual views, and past relationships with artist FKA Twigs and actress Mia Goth.

During one segment, he left the interview to grab a beer, and near the end, he accidentally damaged a wall.

"I screwed up, that's on me," he said regarding the New Orleans incident. "What I did was bad, man. My actions were dirty, ugly, and shameful, so I need to accept it, you know?”

LaBeouf also speculated that he might still face a hate crime charge, which carries a stiffer punishment, although he seemed rather indifferent about his latest controversy in some statements.
