Kelly Osbourne has lashed out at vicious critics who dehumanised her following her appearance at the Brits.

The television personality, 41, revealed she is experiencing "the most challenging period of her life" seven months after her father Ozzy Osbourne passed away.

On Sunday evening, Kelly and her mother Sharon Osbourne, 73, delivered a touching speech in memory of Ozzy as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Just a few hours after the event, Kelly turned to social media to confront harsh critics for the second time in recent weeks.

Following her presence at the Brit Awards in Manchester on Saturday night, Kelly posted a statement on Instagram.

"Inflicting harm on someone clearly grappling with difficulties is a unique form of cruelty," she wrote.

Kelly continued: "Kicking me when I'm down, questioning my pain, turning my struggles into gossip, and abandoning me when I need kindness and love most.

"None of this shows strength; it only exposes a deep lack of empathy and integrity.

"I am facing the toughest period of my life right now.

"I shouldn't even have to defend myself.

Just days ago on February 24, Kelly retaliated against cruel trolls once more when they heartlessly accused her of "resembling a lifeless body."

Only last week, the singer and TV star confronted the malicious online trolls for bombarding her with a string of hateful remarks recently.

After posting an offensive comment on her social media where a cyber bully suggested she "resembled a deceased body," Kelly replied: "I honestly can't fathom how revolting some individuals can be!

"Nobody should endure this kind of abuse!"

Kelly stood her ground as she posted another comment critiquing her weight loss and appearance.

The TV icon has been compelled to resist a wave of online harassment since the tragic death of her father.

At the Brits on Saturday night, Kelly and Sharon accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the late Ozzy Osbourne.

The lead singer of Black Sabbath passed away in July last year at 76, just two weeks following his final performance in Birmingham.

Sharon expressed her late husband's nature as "the most humble egomaniac you could ever encounter."

She then addressed the audience, with Kelly by her side: "I'm privileged to receive this award on behalf of my wonderful husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award.

"God knows, I wish he were here to accept it himself."
