Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt revealed the key ingredient in keeping her family strong during challenging moments.

In an exclusive interview with People, the author highlighted husband Chris Pratt’s ability to bring humor to even the toughest situations.

“For a variety of reasons, I’m grateful that I married Chris. But one of them… [is] being able to have someone who brings humor in challenging times,” said Katherine, 36.

“Even when not funny, someone who can also make you laugh in a really hard time is really important. He definitely does that, so I’m really grateful for that.”

The couple, who wed in June 2019 in an intimate Montecito, Calif., ceremony, share four children: daughters Lyla Maria 2020 and Eloise Christina 2022, and son Ford Fitzgerald 2024. Chris is also a father to 13-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris.

Katherine emphasized that their partnership extends beyond humor, describing their relationship as a true team effort, especially in parenting.

“Just knowing that we’re teammates in so much of life, and especially in parenting, which has its ups and downs,” she said, helps their family navigate daily challenges.

Even during a recent flu outbreak in their household, Katherine noted that Chris kept spirits high with his upbeat personality.

“He’s definitely always really humor-filled. Even when he’s sick, he’s making jokes that make a rough situation or a rough week have some lighthearted moments,” she said.
