Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman arrested on assault and trespassing allegations
This incident follows months after Allman’s hospitalization for erratic behaviour and suspected overdose
Cher’s son, musician Elijah Blue Allman, is arrested on several charges after allegedly causing a disturbance at a New Hampshire prep school.
The 49-year-old, the son of Cher and late rock musician Gregg Allman, faces two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct.
Authorities were called to St. Paul’s School in Concord on Friday, February 27, after reports of an unwanted guest causing a disturbance.
A Concord Police Department spokesperson told TMZ that Allman, who has no known connection to the school, was acting belligerently.
He was detained, processed at Merrimack County Jail, and released without bail with a requirement to appear at future court dates.
Cher, 79, has not publicly commented on the incident.
Elijah’s arrest follows months after he was hospitalized for erratic behavior amid a suspected drug overdose. On June 14, 2025, California deputies found drugs at his home, and he was taken to a medical facility.
His estranged wife, Marieangela King Allman, publicly expressed support at the time, emphasizing his commitment to sobriety and resilience despite personal struggles.
In previous years, Cher sought to place Elijah under a conservatorship due to concerns over his mental health and safety.
The request came after he was treated for schizoaffective disorder and had multiple 5150 psychiatric hospitalizations in California.
Moreover, the judge ultimately denied the conservatorship, citing that Elijah managed his finances, maintained an apartment, remained drug-free, and submitted multiple clean drug tests.
Elijah has been open about his past struggles with substance use. In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that he began using drugs at 11 and experienced multiple near-overdoses, describing his experiences as “close calls and moments at the edge of mortality.”
Despite ongoing challenges, those close to him continue to highlight his efforts to remain grounded and committed to recovery.
