Cynthia Bailey has opened up about the emotional moment she reached out to Mary Cosby following the tragic death of her 23-year-old son, Robert Cosby Jr. Speaking on her Humble Brag podcast, the RHOA star admitted she felt "paralysed" by the news of the young man’s passing on 23 February.

Despite her hesitation, Cynthia felt compelled to call the RHOSLC star rather than send a text, and was surprised when Mary answered immediately.

During their heartfelt conversation, Cynthia offered her unwavering support, but was struck by Mary’s quiet resilience.

She shared, “One of the things that she just said, ‘It's okay.’ She just kept saying, ‘It's okay. It's okay.’” Cynthia believes Mary is currently in a state of shock, simply "pushing through" the devastating reality.

Robert Jr. had been remarkably candid about his years-long battle with drug addiction and mental health on camera, a move Cynthia praised as "powerful" for other struggling families.

The tragedy follows a turbulent period for Robert Jr., who had recently been released from jail in early February. Cynthia recalled Mary being "very optimistic" about his recovery just weeks ago.

In a joint statement, Mary and her husband expressed that while their hearts ache, they find peace knowing their son is finally at rest.

Cynthia concluded her tribute with a promise of a "big, tight hug" for her friend, urging fans to continue "loving on Mary" during this unimaginable time.
