'Dallas' actress and model Annabel Schofield passes away at 62 after cancer battle
Schofield moved to London, where she launched her modeling career
Renowned model and actress Annabel Schofield has passed away following her diagnosis of brain cancer.
Schofield died at the age of 62 on February 28 in Los Angeles, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
After her diagnosis, the Dallas actress shared updates about her condition on a GoFundMe page set up to assist with her medical expenses, with her last update on January 18.
She mentioned undergoing emergency surgery to remove a growth from her nasal area in this final update.
Schofield was born on September 4, 1963, in Llanelli, Wales. Her father, John D. Schofield, was a notable British film executive involved in the production of many films, such as Jerry Maguire and As Good As It Gets.
Schofield eventually moved to London, where she launched her modeling career.
She made the cover of numerous fashion magazines like Germany's Vogue and Italian Vogue, as noted by the outlet.
Melissa Richardson, owner of London’s Take Two Agency, which represented Schofield early on, reminisced about the late model, highlighting her work's importance to the agency's achievements.
"She was a trailblazer for Take Two — we couldn't have succeeded without her. We adored her because she was witty, genuine, stunning, and humble," Richardson shared with THR.
"She remained the same sweet 17-year-old Welsh girl I first met. She was truly loyal, compassionate, and above all, an extraordinary beauty. She mastered her craft. She was unmatched.”
She also modeled for beauty and designer brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Rimmel, and Revlon.
One of her standout appearances was in a late 1980s Bugle Boy Jeans commercial, where she famously asked, "Excuse me, are those Bugle Boy jeans you’re wearing?” while behind the wheel of a sports car.
