ABC appears to have successfully brought back Scrubs. The reboot's debut drew 11.36 million cross-platform viewers within its first five days, according to Disney.

This figure includes viewers from the initial airing on February 25, as well as additional airings and streaming through Hulu, Disney+, and other digital outlets.

After a 17-year absence, Scrubs also became the most-watched ABC comedy episode and top ABC series launch on streaming platforms in over a year, following the start of Shifting Gears.

The exact number of streaming viewership was not disclosed by the company.

The overall audience for the premiere over five days rose approximately 158% compared to the live + same-day broadcast count of 4.4 million, according to Nielsen.

In the latest version of Scrubs, J.D. and Turk team up again after a long break: Medicine has evolved; new interns have arrived; yet their friendship remains as strong as ever.

Both familiar and new characters explore the dynamics at Sacred Heart, filled with humor, emotion, and a few unexpected twists.

Braff, Chalke, and Faison both star in and executive produce the show. Original cast members Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley make guest appearances as Carla and Dr. Perry Cox, respectively.

The guest lineup additionally includes Vanessa Bayer, Rachel Bilson, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, Neil Flynn, Lisa Gilroy, David Gridley, Phill Lewis, Robert Maschio, X Mayo, Christa Miller, Layla Mohammadi, Amanda Morrow, Andy Ridings, and Michael James Scott.

Executive producers Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer lead for Doozer Productions.

Aseem Batra is the executive producer and showrunner; Randall Winston is also an executive producer. The series is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.

In the upcoming episode airing on March 4, Elliot deals with a challenging patient, while J.D. navigates the world of online doctor reviews.

At the same time, Turk educates his interns on new surgical technologies and imparts surprising life lessons.
