Colton Underwood has opened up about the evolution of his relationship with husband Jordan C. Brown following the arrival of their first child.

Speaking at the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, the 34-year-old star of The Traitors discussed the delicate balance of maintaining a romantic connection while raising their one-year-old son, Bishop.

The couple, who married in Napa Valley in 2023, welcomed their son via surrogate in September 2024.

Underwood highlighted that many of their romantic outings have shifted into cherished family activities. "We value our time with him as a shared experience, taking him to the park," he explained, noting that Sunday trips to the farmer's market in Studio City have become a particular highlight.

Despite the demands of parenthood, the couple remains intentional about their bond. Underwood added: "I think we have done a good job of carving out us time and our me time to take care of ourselves so we can show up for each other and show up for our family the best we can."

The journey to fatherhood was a significant milestone for the pair, who bonded over their shared desire for a family early in their relationship.

Underwood previously launched a podcast, Daddyhood, to document the often-mysterious process of surrogacy and fertility.

Reflecting on the lack of public resources for the LGBTQ+ community, he noted that "you sort of get tossed into the fire." Now settled into life as a family of three, the couple continues to advocate for visibility while prioritising their internal partnership.
