Gwen Stefani reveals 'spiritual miracle' behind her pregnancy at 44

Gwen Stefani has opened up about a spiritual awakening that she believes led to the "miracle" conception of her youngest son at the age of 44.

Speaking with the prayer app Hallow, the 56-year-old singer recalled a period of desperation in 2013 when she longed for another child but feared her age was an insurmountable barrier.

During this time, deep conversations with a colleague about faith and the Torah began "waking her up" spiritually.

The No Doubt frontwoman, a practising Catholic, revealed that her eldest son, Kingston, also played a pivotal role.

When he was eight, he began begging for a sibling, to which Stefani replied, “I’m sorry, your mommy is too old to have a baby.”

Undeterred, Kingston prayed every night for a miracle. “It was like, four weeks later, and I was pregnant with Apollo,” Stefani stated. “I had him at 44 years old, naturally. And that was the first miracle.”

Following their 2016 divorce, she sought a formal annulment from the Catholic Church, which was granted in 2021.

This allowed her to marry country star Blake Shelton in a church-recognised ceremony later that year at his Oklahoma ranch.

Reflecting on her journey, the singer described the natural conception of her son as a "full-on gift" that strengthened her faith during a challenging chapter of her life.
