Noah Beck cast as series regular in Fox's 'Baywatch'
Beck stars as Luke, a rookie lifeguard hailing from a family of firefighters
Noah Beck, an actor recognised for his role in Tubi’s hit young adult romance series Sidelined, has secured a regular spot in the upcoming Baywatch TV series produced by Fox and Fremantle.
Beck takes on the character of Luke, a rookie lifeguard and the youngest in a lineage of firefighters who chose the waves over a life at the fire station.
Luke is your quintessential charming Southern California beachgoer, a surfer with a flirtatious side, yet when lives are on the line, he proves to be one of the finest.
Baywatch is a crucial step in his maturity, particularly through his bond with Stephen Amell’s leading character, Hobie Buchannon, whom he regards as a guide and father figure.
The new Baywatch series, previously announced, also features Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, and David Chokachi, who reprises his original role as Cody Madison.
Set to premiere on Fox during the 2026–2027 season, with filming starting in the Los Angeles area this spring, the reboot portrays wild-child Hobie as a Baywatch Captain, following the path of his iconic father, Mitch.
Hobie’s life takes a turn when his daughter Charlie arrives, eager to continue the Buchannon family tradition.
The original lifeguard series debuted in 1989, featuring Jeremy Jackson as Hobie. Over its 11-season run, it became the most-watched show globally, aired in more than 200 countries, and at its zenith, captured over a billion viewers weekly.
Starring David Hasselhoff, the series launched the careers of stars like Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Jason Momoa, and Yasmine Bleeth.
Fox Entertainment and Fremantle are co-producing the revamped series, with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) acting as showrunner and executive producer alongside first episode director McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz.
Fox Entertainment Global possesses all domestic rights, with Fremantle handling all international sales.
Thanks to his roles in the Sidelined films — including the latest Sidelined 2: Intercepted, where he also served as executive producer — Beck has amassed a following of over 40 million across various platforms.
Released in November 2024, the initial film — Sidelined: The QB and Me — remains Tubi’s most-watched original title and, in its first week, made it into Luminate’s Top 10 Original Streaming Charts, while generating more than 2 billion social media impressions.
