Kai Trump visits 'world's most expensive grocery store' with secret service
Trump bought trending $21 Hailey Bieber smoothie, a $14 water bottle, and a $17 jar of dates
President Donald Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, showcased her visit to what she referred to as the "priciest grocery store in the world" on YouTube.
"I might go bankrupt," Kai, 18, joked while browsing through the Erewhon market, notorious for its costly smoothies.
"Everything is extremely pricey," she complained while filling her basket with health products, sushi, a shaker for water bottles, and more.
The video, entitled “I Brought My Secret Service to Erewhon,” attracted over 200,000 views just one day after it was uploaded on Sunday (March 8).
“Folks, one thing about me is I don't really spend much,” explained the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his former wife, Vanessa Trump, during a conversation with the man filming. "I'm quite... like, not a big spender."
When an Erewhon staff member informed her that one of their sweatshirts is priced at $165, she stated she was "trying to stay calm."
After Kai exited the store, the cameraman joked about the Secret Service giving "the red carpet treatment" as a fleet of black SUVs lined up by the entrance.
Returning to her hotel, she unpacked her shopping, which included the trending $21 Hailey Bieber smoothie, a $14 water bottle, and a $17 jar of dates.
During the video blog, while trying some sushi she bought from the Los Angeles shop, Kai grimaced and spat it out, exclaiming, “I enjoy sushi. That is by far the worst tuna I’ve ever tasted in my life.”
“It was fishy and tough,” she elaborated, urging the cameraman to also taste it. “I feel like I’m going to throw up."
Kai went on to sample rice balls, vegan buffalo cauliflower, and short rib from the store's hot bar. “Tastes nice," she commented. "Is this worth $37? Definitely not."
“I could probably recreate this at home for... less than $10,” she added.
The total cost of the grocery excursion came to a staggering $233, ending up with just one bag. Kai remarked that some of the food was not “even edible.”
While Kai explored sushi and vegan cauliflower in Los Angeles, her grandfather is known for having different food preferences.
