Singer Ellie Goulding shares joy after birth of second child, first with boyfriend

Ellie Goulding is a mom again! The 39-year-old singer welcomed her second child, a daughter, on Friday, March 6, marking her first baby with boyfriend Beau Minniear. 

Goulding shared the joyful news on Instagram, offering fans a first glimpse of the newborn and expressing gratitude for the team who helped bring her safely into the world.

“On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. We are totally obsessed with her,” Goulding wrote. “It was fitting that I spent International Women’s Day with her and the incredible female team at St Mary’s, who provided me and my baby with extraordinary care and kindness. I will always be in awe of midwives.”

The singer added that her 4-year-old son, Arthur—whom she shares with ex Caspar Jopling—is thrilled to step into his new role as a big brother. 

“This addition to my family fills me with so much joy, especially as Arthur is so so happy to become a big brother to this little angel @beauminniear [emojis],” she said.

Goulding also offered fans a peek at the celebrations at home, including a cake reading “baby sister” and festive baby decorations.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker first announced her pregnancy while walking the red carpet at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London in December, where she proudly showed off her baby bump in a black crop top and leather jacket ensemble.

Goulding and Minniear went public with their romance in September 2025, though the pair had been spending time together since at least July. 

In one July Instagram post, Minniear shared a racy photo of Goulding, which she liked and responded to with a single red heart.

Earlier this year, Goulding spoke with NYLON about growing her family and balancing motherhood with her career. 

“I didn’t want to become just a pregnant woman first,” she said. “Not every woman has this luxury. I have amazing people around me. I have an amazing boyfriend. I do have it a little easier in that I do have amazing support. I’m still working every day and still writing every day. It’s just that I am growing a human inside me.”
