Sarah Jane Ramos denies prenup rumors following split from Dak Prescott
The former couple ended their engagement five weeks before their planned Italian wedding
Sarah Jane Ramos is setting the record straight about the reason behind her recent breakup with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
The wine specialist spoke out on Instagram following news that she and Prescott, 30, ended their engagement roughly five weeks before their planned wedding in Italy.
The couple shares two daughters together: Margaret Jane Rose, 2, and Aurora Rayne, 9 months.
Ramos responded to speculation in the comments of an Instagram video from Speakeasy hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy, which debated prenuptial agreements.
Screenshots in the clip suggested, “The rumor is that Dak spent the last few months pushing hard for a rock-solid prenup to protect his new bag, and she flat-out refused to sign it.”
Ramos quickly shot down the gossip, writing: “This had nothing to do with a prenup. I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”
A representative for Ramos told People that both she and Prescott are “heartbroken that they’re not getting married,” emphasizing the breakup was a mutual decision.
“There wasn’t any rockiness in the lead-up, and there was no big argument or blow up,” the rep added.
“They love their girls, and they’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way. It’s still shocking for them since this happened so recently, and they ask for privacy while they sort everything out.”
Ramos and Prescott were first linked in September 2023 and got engaged in October 2024. Days before the split was publicly reported on March 7, Ramos shared an Instagram carousel of her bachelorette party weekend in the Bahamas, captioning it: “I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much [emojis].
