Chelsea Handler unveils her 'Hot' new relationship and how they met

Chelsea Handler seems to have officially introduced her new relationship!

In a collection of images shared to her Instagram and TikTok, the comedian, age 51, introduced her new partner, providing a peek into their adventures.

Sharing that they had just been in Istanbul, Turkey, Handler posted a number of affectionate photos of her and her partner exploring the area.

One picture showed the pair smiling with Handler wearing a head scarf, and in another, they toasted with Aperol spritzes.

Handler didn't reveal her partner's identity in the posts, but in a conversation with the Las Vegas Review-Journal last week, Handler reminisced about meeting her mystery man while playing blackjack at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas in November 2025.

“I asked this guy at a blackjack table wearing a cowboy hat and holding lots of chips, ‘Hey, can I borrow $1,000? I’m going to hit a winning streak. He said, ‘Of course!’ and handed me $1,000,” Handler recounted to the publication. "I returned the money with another thousand just for interest, but later took it back, thinking 'He doesn't deserve that.' "

“He’s actually not a cowboy, but I call him Cowboy,” she noted, choosing to keep his name private but affectionately calling him “my current Cowboy.”

Handler, who regularly performs at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan, mentioned receiving a message the next day from an unknown number stating, “I had an amazing time last night with you.”

“I was puzzled, ‘Who is messaging me? And my friend said, ‘Oh, that’s the cowboy from the blackjack table. I gave him your number because you two seemed adorable together,’ ” Handler remembered her friend explaining. “‘You repaid the loan, and there was undeniable chemistry.’ ”

Later that month, the TV star planned a Thanksgiving trip to Antarctica. “I shared a link to my Antarctica adventure with him, and he purchased a ticket to join me,” she told the publication, noting that during the interview, Handler and her partner were in Helsinki, Sweden. 

“We're still going strong—it’s exciting, and I need bold moves like these in my life.”

In March 2025, Handler mentioned she was seeing someone new, though that appears to be a different partner than her current one.

"I am currently dating someone I find very attractive and enjoy being intimate with, which feels like a wonderful experience," she stated on The Jamie Kern Lima Show.

The author also mentioned that they had been dating for “the last nine months.”

Handler had been in a relationship with fellow comedian Jo Koy for nearly a year before parting ways in July 2022.
