AMC sets premiere date for Anne Rice’s ‘The Vampire Lestat’
AMC has announced premiere of Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat for June 7
AMC will debut Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat on Sunday (June 7).
The network has also unveiled the second musical single by "the world’s original immortal rockstar," Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), called “All Fall Down.”
This track, composed and written by series music creator Daniel Hart, is performed by Reid.
In the forthcoming rock-infused season, the Vampire Lestat embarks on an electrifying tour across cities, while being pursued by "muses" from his daring and unruly past.
As his band’s fame and influence grow, Lestat's power over both vampires and humans intensifies, challenging others amid the Great Conversion, an unusual increase in the vampire community.
The series features performances from Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles, and Jennifer Ehle.
It's helmed by executive producers Mark Johnson, creator, writer, and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
In his remarks, the Vampire Lestat commented on the new single, "‘All Fall Down’ is thankfully just 68 seconds long.
That’s 54 seconds more Daniel Hart than one should endure. The harmonies in the chorus are my contribution.”
Hart explained about the track, "[It] signifies a period in this vampire band’s journey when they were still defining their unique sound, before Lestat began reinventing himself and exploring different musical genres.
With ‘All Fall Down’, we aimed to embody the essence of this newer version of Lestat, who becomes increasingly adventurous, raw, and humorously self-aware than ever before.”
The Vampire Lestat represents technically the third season of Interview with the Vampire, renamed after the book title that inspired this season.
