Ray J and Kim Kardashian clash over 'perjury' claims in sex tape lawsuit

Legal tensions between Ray J and the Kardashian-Jenner family have escalated following explosive court declarations regarding the origin of the pair's 2007 sex tape.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner filed statements in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, dismissing Ray J’s allegations that they orchestrated the footage's release as “absolutely false.”

Jenner expressed her indignation in the filing, stating: “As a mother, the notion that I orchestrated or produced sex tapes involving my daughter, or was in any way involved in the creation or distribution of any sex tapes, is not only entirely untrue but deeply offensive and harmful and has haunted me for decades.”

Ray J and his mother, Sonja Norwood, have countered these claims, accusing the duo of perjury. The rapper, who initiated a lawsuit in November 2025, maintains that the narrative has been distorted to protect the family’s reputation.

“Are [Kim & Kris] out of their f–king minds? The fact of the matter is, if you lie like that under oath, don’t you go to jail? Don’t you get fined?” Ray J told TMZ.

He emphasised that he is fighting for the sake of his children, who deserve to know their father did not intentionally cause harm.

Adding further weight to the dispute, Sonja Norwood challenged Jenner’s account on social media, questioning: “And Kris, momager, you say you did not orchestrate the commercial release of the tape. Then who did?”

Kardashian, however, maintains the ordeal caused her immense distress, leading her to invest in significant legal and therapeutic support to combat what she describes as persistent harassment.
