Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s nuptials paused amid family considerations

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s plans to tie the knot appear to be on hold, as the actor prioritizes being “sensitive” to his children amid his blossoming romance with the Broadway star.

Jackman, who finalized his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness last year, has been dating Foster for several months. 

While the couple reportedly considered setting a wedding date, sources say Jackman is cautious about moving forward.

“Even though Hugh is excited to start this next chapter with Sutton, he has to be sensitive to his kids. 

They’re incredibly protective of their mother… he wants to be respectful of that,” an insider told the Daily Mail. 

The source added that Jackman hopes his children will be able to attend the wedding, alongside close family and friends.

The pair reportedly prefers a spring or summer wedding in New York, with plans for an intimate celebration followed by a European honeymoon. 

“[Jackman] told his team to keep a big window open for him and Sutton to tie the knot and have a ‘honeymoon tour’ of Europe, where they can see his mum,” a source shared with New Idea.

A key factor delaying the nuptials is Foster’s pending divorce from her ex-husband, Ted Griffin. 

The couple, who share an adopted daughter, Emily Dale Griffin, remain legally married, and reports indicate Griffin is delaying the process.

Despite the financial disparity—Jackman’s net worth is estimated at over $100 million, compared to Foster’s $4 million—Jackman reportedly refuses to ask for a prenup. 

“He thinks it’s offensive and says the idea that Sutton would ever be with him for money is laughable,” an insider told The Globe.

Since going public, the duo has been seen frequently together, displaying their affection on red carpets, Instagram, and during romantic getaways, including a recent trip to Costa Rica.

While wedding plans remain tentative, sources say Jackman and Foster are fully committed to each other and focused on building their life together.
