Jelly Roll set to make WWE return ahead of WrestleMania 42
The musician turned wrestler credits WWE training with helping him shed over 200 pounds
Jelly Roll has announced his return to WWE just weeks before WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
The country-rap star, known for hits like Save Me, has been a long-time wrestling fan and has steadily built a relationship with WWE since performing at SummerSlam 2024.
That appearance quickly turned physical, and he has made several WWE appearances over the past year, impressing fans with his dedication and athleticism.
On Thursday, WWE star The Miz teased Jelly Roll’s upcoming appearance on Miz TV, writing on X, “Tomorrow a Special Edition of Miz TV, my guest… JELLYROLL! Music superstar. Chart-topper. Sold-out arenas everywhere. But tomorrow he enters the one arena he’s never been in before… The Miz TV interview chair. SmackDown. Tomorrow. USA Network. It’s going to be AWESOME.”
Reports suggest that WWE may involve Jelly Roll in storylines at WrestleMania, with his SmackDown return potentially setting the stage for the high-profile event.
Jelly Roll, who previously teamed with Randy Orton against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2025, has credited wrestling with inspiring a dramatic transformation in his health.
Moving to Florida to train at WWE’s Performance Center, he shed over 200 pounds, entering his SummerSlam match under 300 pounds for the first time since his teenage years.
Speaking in the Netflix docuseries WWE Unreal, Jelly Roll said, “I knew that if I didn't do something, it was going to kill me… I will be back next summer a different f****** human. … On a selfish level, I need this. This might motivate me to push me past that number I've never seen before on the scale.”
A key part of his fitness journey was reworking his relationship with food.
“Man, I was on the brink of death… As an addict, it was hard for me to get away from it, so I did a lot of work with food,” he told E! News. Cardio also played a crucial role, with Jelly Roll running daily, calling it a “real healer.”
