Natalie Portman pens emotional letter to kids in Tiffany & Co. Oscars campaign
The actress reminds her children that true love begins with loving yourself unconditionally
Natalie Portman is sharing a deeply personal message about self-love and resilience in her latest Tiffany & Co. campaign film.
The Oscar-winning actress, 44, who was recently named Tiffany & Co.’s global brand ambassador, is seen navigating New York City in clips inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
From standing at a sleek bar to walking along a balcony overlooking Central Park, Portman brings the classic glamour to life as the soft strains of Moon River play in the background.
In the ad, she is shown writing a letter, ultimately revealed to be addressed to her children, Amalia, 8, and Aleph, 14, whom she shares with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied. In a voiceover, Portman shares her heartfelt reflections:
"Always remember, inner strength isn’t found. You build it, piece by piece… and that’s where you’ll find love. One without expectations or conditions. That’s the most important kind. The love for yourself. With love, Mom."
Behind the scenes, Portman is seen styling pieces from Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear collection, highlighting the many roles women play in life.
“It explores the different kinds of love,” Portman told WWD. “I want it to be a celebration of women’s resilience, strength and joy… the joy of discovering your own particular journey and the generational legacy you leave.”
Portman has spoken previously about keeping her children out of the public eye while cherishing their growth.
“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you see them develop into the individuals they are,” she told Interview Magazine.
The campaign, directed by Oscar-nominated Mona Fastvold and Brady Corbet, with cinematography by Hoyte van Hoytema, debuted during the Oscars broadcast on Sunday.
