Teyana Taylor speaks out after alleged security altercation following 2026 Oscars

Teyana Taylor addressed an apparent confrontation with a security guard following the 2026 Academy Awards, saying she does not “tolerate disrespect” after a video of the moment circulated widely on social media.

The incident reportedly took place after the ceremony concluded on March 15 as guests were leaving the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. 

In a clip shared online, Taylor appeared to confront a member of the security team, accusing him of pushing her during the crowd’s exit.

“Because you’re a man putting your hands on a female! You’re very rude,” Taylor could be heard saying in the video while speaking toward someone off-camera. 

“He literally shoved me… Do not shove me. Do not touch me. Do not push me,” she added as others nearby reacted to the exchange.

The 35-year-old performer later addressed the situation while speaking to TMZ later that night, downplaying the confrontation while explaining her stance. 

“Everybody’s having a good time and security was just doing a lot,” she said, adding that she simply does not tolerate being disrespected. 

“I think the first thing people do is definitely make assumptions, but at the end of the day, I just don’t tolerate disrespect, especially when it’s unwarranted and unprovoked.”

Taylor attended the ceremony as a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her role in One Battle After Another, which emerged as the night’s biggest winner with six awards, including Best Picture and the Oscars’ first-ever Best Casting prize for casting director Cassandra Kulukundis.

Despite the tense moment captured on video, Taylor appeared to remain in good spirits throughout the evening. 

Earlier during awards season, she won a Golden Globe for her performance in the film.
