Country star Riley Green 'sewed up' following a dangerous on-stage incident
Learn how an Australian audience helped a musician identify a disruptive fan
Country music performer Riley Green was left requiring medical attention after a spectator threw a mobile phone at him during a concert at the Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne.
The incident occurred whilst the musician was performing on stage, resulting in a strike to his ear that necessitated five stitches.
Green initially appeared unaware of the severity of the contact, pausing the performance to identify the individual responsible with the assistance of the audience.
The artist took immediate action to address the disruption, requesting that the house lights be raised before the fan was escorted from the venue.
Addressing the culprit, Green stated: “This one right here? Get his fat a– out of here. Go on.”
Once the situation was resolved, he continued the set and expressed his gratitude to the crowd, jokingly remarking: “Hang on, am I bleeding? Y’all see how tough I am? Thank God he didn’t have an iPhone 12, that would have really hurt.”
Following the event, Green shared an update with his followers on social media, posting an image of the injury with the caption: “5 stitches later… sewed up.”
The incident follows a busy period for the star, who recently made his acting debut in the series Marshals.
Despite his growing fame, he remains committed to his rural lifestyle in Alabama, telling Fox News Digital: “I love my farm in Alabama, and it’s the place I draw all my inspiration for songs from.”
He noted that whilst he no longer feels nervous on stage, his transition into acting was “much more nerve-wracking.”
