Alibaba Group has launched a new artificial intelligence platform aimed at enterprise users, stepping up competition in China’s fast-growing AI agent market.

The platform, named Wukong, is designed to automate complex workplace tasks by coordinating multiple AI agents within a single interface.

It can handle functions such as document editing, spreadsheet management, meeting transcription, and research, offering businesses an integrated productivity solution. The product is currently available through invitation-only beta testing.

The launch comes amid a surge of interest in AI agent tools across China, driven in part by the popularity of OpenClaw.

The trend has sparked rapid innovation among major tech firms while also raising concerns from regulators about potential security risks.

Wukong is part of Alibaba’s broader restructuring under its newly formed Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) unit, signaling a stronger company-wide focus on enterprise AI.

Users can access the platform either as a standalone desktop application or through DingTalk, which already serves more than 20 million corporate users.

Alibaba said Wukong will also integrate with widely used communication platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WeChat.

The move puts Alibaba in direct competition with other Chinese tech giants, including ByteDance, Tencent, and AI startup Zhipu AI, all of which have recently introduced similar AI-driven enterprise solutions.
