Lisa Rinna wears 11-pound human hair gown by Christian Cowan at Elton John's Oscars party
Lisa Rinna stunned at Oscars with her audacious gown crafted from over 10 lbs. of human hair
Lisa Rinna stunned everyone with her daring Oscars look, striking a pose in a dress weighing over ten pounds made entirely of human hair.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills celebrity, famous for her trademark hairstyle, collaborated with fashion designer Christian Cowan and TRESemmé to craft this attention-grabbing ensemble.
Lisa, now 62, made an unforgettable entrance at the Elton John Oscars Afterparty in a form-fitting strapless number.
The outfit was constructed by weaving strands of human hair around fabric and structure.
Featuring a sweetheart neckline, it elegantly emphasized her bust and showcased her curves.
At first glance, the dress seemed like ordinary black fabric strips, but a closer look revealed it was made of hair.
Near the hem, the strands of hair hung freely, much like they would when cascading from a head.
Days before the Oscars, Christian teased the outfit online, sharing an Instagram Reel of him crafting the dress.
“A-List hair, reimagined in the most iconic...legendary...style,” was the caption accompanying the post.
To create this look, the designer utilised about 11 pounds of hair, all ethically sourced from three suppliers – Aliperal, Bellami, and The Hair Shop.
Based on People, each strand of hair was meticulously chosen to complement Lisa’s complexion.
The hair was treated using items from TRESemmé’s A-Lisa line before being sewn into the dress.
Christian shared with People, “I aimed to celebrate Lisa’s beauty; she is truly a powerhouse. Her famous hair was such a part of her identity, it felt fun to play with that concept.”
