Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are committed to making their relationship succeed, despite the challenges of distance and demanding personal lives, according to a source close to the couple.

The pop star, 41, and the former Canadian prime minister reportedly began dating in 2025 following Perry’s split from Orlando Bloom.

Since then, the pair have been navigating a long-distance dynamic while prioritizing their families.

“The priority for both of them is stability for the kids,” a source said, noting that the couple frequently travels to spend time together. “They’ve had to be flexible… the long-distance dynamic was never a surprise.”

Perry shares her five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, with Bloom, while Trudeau is father to three children—Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien—from his previous marriage to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

Insiders say the couple entered the relationship aware of its complexities.

“They understood from the beginning that their lives were complicated and that it wouldn’t be the easiest relationship logistically,” the source explained, adding that both were “determined to make it work.”

Their bond reportedly developed quickly, with Perry drawn to Trudeau’s early interest and attentiveness.

“She fell for him early on,” the insider said, pointing to the effort both have made to manage travel and schedules as a sign of their commitment.

The pair were first linked publicly in 2025 after being spotted together in Montreal, sparking speculation about their relationship.

At the time, sources noted a clear “attraction” and shared values between them.

Beyond logistics, the couple is said to connect over shared interests, including music and a mutual sense of idealism.

“They have a lot in common,” the insider added, suggesting their relationship is built on more than just chemistry.
