Spotify previously experimented with customised running playlists, and is now embracing the fitness arena by offering curated playlists along with content from popular creators like Yoga with Kassandra, Sweaty Studio, Chloe Ting, and Pilates Body by Raven.

Furthermore, Premium users will enjoy access to more than 1,400 Peloton classes.

Spotify has evolved far beyond its original music platform by adding audiobooks, podcasts, and videos.

Entering the fitness and wellness market is a logical step, given the wealth of exercise-focused playlists already in existence. However, it adds to an already complex app.

The new Fitness section allows users to explore playlists and workout routines, including options for outdoor runs, strength sessions, yoga, and meditation.

Spotify emphasises that the workouts require no special equipment — there’s no necessity for a Peloton bike or treadmill.

This latest fitness content will span the mobile, desktop, and TV apps, offering seamless transition between platforms.

According to a blog post, “you can start a video exercise on your TV, switch to audio on your phone for a jog, and relax with guided recovery on your smart speaker.”

Initially, Peloton content will be accessible only in selected markets, with workouts primarily in English, though Spanish and German options are also available.
