As the nation united to celebrate the remarkable centenary of Sir David Attenborough, Sir David Beckham joined the global chorus of admirers to offer a deeply personal tribute.

The former footballer took to his Instagram account on Friday to share a heartfelt message in honour of the legendary broadcaster’s 100th birthday.

Beckham, who was himself knighted for services to sport and charity in 2025, used the platform to celebrate the man widely regarded as the "Voice of Nature."

In an honorary social media post, Beckham shared a curated carousel featuring three distinct photographs of the British broadcaster, whose career documenting the natural world has spanned more than seven decades.

Accompanying the images, Beckham penned the touching caption: "Happy 100th Birthday to our National Treasure @davidattenborough."

The visual tribute began with a nostalgic image of Sir David posing by the door of a Jeep, binoculars in hand, ready for exploration.

Subsequent slides depicted the conservationist in his element, interacting closely with wildlife in their natural habitats.

The milestone has sparked widespread reflection on Sir David’s unparalleled legacy. He famously brought the complexities of the world’s ecosystems into living rooms through the definitive BBC "Life" series, including Life on Earth, The Living Planet, and Planet Earth.

Having been knighted by both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III, his contributions to broadcasting remain a cornerstone of British culture.

Looking ahead, Sir David continues to inspire global conservation efforts, while Beckham remains focused on his extensive charitable portfolio following his recent investiture.
