Taylor Swift fan and content creator Olivia Levin has reflected on her unforgettable encounter with the pop superstar, revealing what she describes as her “biggest takeaway” from the experience.

Levin, who runs the popular fan account Swifties for Eternity with nearly 630,000 followers, met Swift at just 17 years old after being invited to one of the singer’s exclusive “Secret Sessions” during the Reputation era in 2017.

The intimate event took place at Swift’s Rhode Island home, where selected fans were given early access to unreleased music and personal interactions with the singer.

Speaking with People about the moment in an exclusive interview, Levin described the experience as “so surreal,” recalling how she went from a small-town teenager in Connecticut to sitting in front of her idol.

“I was definitely starstruck, but she exceeded every expectation I had,” she said, adding that Swift’s family also made a lasting impression on her.

During the session, fans were able to speak with Swift, take photos, and listen to tracks from the Reputation album ahead of its release, with the singer also explaining the meaning behind her songs.

Levin said the experience challenged the idea that celebrities are distant or unrelatable.

“My biggest takeaway that day, and ever since then, I’m like, ‘Wow, she’s just a person,’” she shared.

Since that encounter, Levin has continued to follow Swift’s career closely, attending more than 10 concerts across different eras, including 1989, Reputation, and The Eras Tour.

She also recalled travelling with her parents to early shows before later attending concerts independently as a teenager.

While Levin has crossed paths with Swift on a few occasions since, including a brief near-encounter at a 2025 NFL AFC Championship game, she said she hopes any future meeting would happen organically rather than in a crowded fan setting.

“I just want to respect her space and her privacy,” she said, adding, “If it’s meant to happen, then it’ll happen.”

Levin is now sharing her journey in a new book, The Story of Us: How The Taylor Swift Fandom Changed Our Lives, which explores the global Swiftie community, her personal experiences, and the cultural impact of Swift’s music.
