Ella Langley delivered an emotional, career-defining night at the 2026 ACM Awards, walking away with five major wins and struggling to hold back tears as she accepted one honor after another.

The “Choosin’ Texas” singer, 27, dominated the broadcast ceremony held Sunday, May 17, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where she was crowned Female Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, among other accolades.

Hosted by Shania Twain, the show marked a breakthrough moment for the rising country star, who entered the night with seven nominations.

Visibly overwhelmed on stage, Langley paused during her Female Artist of the Year acceptance speech, telling the audience, “I’m trying to get to say something, but I can’t. Thank you [to] the women in this room.”

She went on to credit several of her fellow artists for their encouragement during the evening, including Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, and Kelsea Ballerini.

“Today I was having a strange day — I don’t know what it is about awards,” she said. “I walked right into Lainey’s room and I just got emotional, and she hugged me, wrapped me up, and started praying for me.”

Langley added that she was deeply moved by the support she received from her peers.

“Here comes Miranda Lambert in her little pink hat. I would not be standing up here without just the encouragement of so many women,” she said, also thanking Lauren Alaina for her support.

Her sweep included Song of the Year and Single of the Year for “Choosin’ Texas,” as well as Music Event of the Year for her collaboration with Riley Green on “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

The emotional tone of her night echoed earlier comments she made about the mentorship she has received in country music.

Speaking previously about her collaboration with Lambert, Langley said the veteran star once told her, “You are more important than this job,” a message she said helped her focus on her well-being.
