Kieran Hayler arrives at court charged with rape of a 13-year-old girl
Hayler, formerly married to Katie Price, appeared at court charged with offences alleged between 2016
Kieran Hayler has appeared at court charged with raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl during the period in which he was married to Katie Price.
The 38-year-old faces three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against the girl. He was pictured arriving at Lewes Crown Court today for a hearing in the case.
The alleged offences
The alleged attacks are said to have taken place at an address in West Sussex between 1 June and 13 October 2016, at a time when Hayler was still married to Price, 47. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is not a member of his or Katie's extended family.
Hayler was charged in October following an investigation by Sussex Police. He has previously entered not guilty pleas to all four alleged offences. A provisional trial, expected to last one week, has been scheduled for October next year.
Statement from Hayler's representative
A representative for Hayler said previously: "Kieran Hayler strongly denies the allegations made against him in its entirety. Mr Hayler is fully engaged and has been cooperating with the police throughout the investigation and will continue to do so. He looks forward to his name being cleared believing in the judicial system to do so."
Sussex Police statement
Sussex Police confirmed: "We can confirm Kieran Hayler, 38, of Northchapel in West Sussex, has been charged with three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl. The offences are alleged to have occurred at an address in West Sussex between June 1 and October 13, 2016.
Hayler remains released under investigation and is due to appear before Crawley magistrates' court on November 19. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has received support from specially trained officers as our enquiries continue."
Background
Hayler, who has worked as a stripper and actor, married Katie at a luxury resort in the Bahamas in 2013. He was her third husband, following her marriages to singer Peter Andre and cage fighter Alex Reid.
The pair separated in 2018 following cheating allegations against Hayler and finalised their divorce in 2021.
Hayler subsequently became engaged to Michelle Penticost, though the pair separated in February this year.
Katie is now married to Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews, who has recently vanished under mysterious circumstances.
She released messages in which Lee claimed to be restrained in the back of a van and said he was being taken to a "black site" — a term used to describe clandestine, state-run detention facilities.
Despite widespread scepticism, Katie has maintained that Lee has been taken against his will. She has submitted a missing persons report, contacted his family, and is currently being supported by the British Embassy.
