An old video of Kim Kardashian has resurfaced and gone viral following reports linking a cocaine seizure to a shipment of SKIMS products.

The resurfaced clip

In the clip, which has recirculated widely across social media, Kardashian is heard joking, "I love ecstasy."

The footage gained renewed traction online as users drew connections between the comment and recent news surrounding an ongoing drug trafficking case.

It is important to note that there is no evidence that Kardashian or her company SKIMS were involved in any criminal activity whatsoever.

Cocaine found hidden in SKIMS shipment

The case centres on a UK border investigation in which officials discovered approximately 90kg of cocaine concealed within a truck transporting legitimate SKIMS products from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom. The vehicle was intercepted at the Port of Harwich in Essex.

Authorities confirmed that the clothing contained within the shipment was genuine and had been used as cover to smuggle drugs hidden inside a concealed compartment within the truck.

Driver pleads guilty and jailed

The driver, Jakub Jan Konkel, subsequently pleaded guilty to his role in the operation and was handed a custodial sentence of more than 13 years.

SKIMS and Kardashian cleared

Investigators have confirmed that SKIMS, Kardashian herself, and the companies involved in the shipment and importation of the products have not been accused of any wrongdoing.

SKIMS also released a statement in response to the reports, stating that it had no knowledge of any illegal activity connected to the shipment and that it had no association with the driver or the smuggling operation.

Law enforcement officials have reiterated that the investigation was focused solely on those directly responsible for trafficking the drugs.

Online speculation continues

Despite the clear confirmation that neither Kardashian nor SKIMS bear any responsibility, the resurfaced video has continued to fuel online speculation and has drawn renewed public attention to the case.
