John Cena wants cameo on Netflix reality show he calls a 'sleeper hit'
The former WWE star praised the reality competition series and urged fans to check it out
John Cena has revealed his latest TV obsession, saying he has been quietly binge-watching a reality competition series he considers a “sleeper” hit.
Speaking during Netflix’s Upfronts event in New York City, the actor shared that his current “guilty pleasure” is the reality show Million Dollar Secret, where contestants compete to identify which participant is secretly holding a $1 million prize.
“Loves me some secret millionaire,” Cena said, describing the concept of the series. “I think it’s a sleeper. Folks should check it out. I love the show.”
The former WWE star said he has enjoyed the series so much that he would even be interested in appearing on it in some capacity in the future, hinting at a possible cameo.
“I’m hoping for a cameo of some sorts in the future,” he added.
Beyond his current viewing habits, Cena also spoke about his upcoming Netflix comedy project Little Brother, in which he stars alongside comedian Eric André.
The actor said he is a longtime fan of André’s unconventional comedy style and praised the energy he brings to the screen.
“I’m a huge fan of the Eric Andre Show,” Cena said. “I have not laughed out loud so much for as long as I can remember.”
Cena added that the project’s script felt naturally suited to André’s comedic approach, with his own role serving as a supportive counterpart.
“When I read the script, it’s absolutely for Eric, and he just kind of needed a sounding board for his jokes, and I am happy to be that sounding board,” he explained.
He further praised André’s creativity and unpredictable comedic instincts, describing him as fearless and constantly inventive.
“His courage is relentless, and his mind is always working,” Cena said. “It’s hard to compare him with anyone else.”
