Justin Moore has announced he will be taking a break from life on the road in order to concentrate on his well-being.

On Monday, 8 June, the country singer shared the news with fans via an Instagram post.

"I've made the decision to take some time to focus on my health," Moore, 42, began.

"As a result, I'll be stepping away from touring for a short period and will be unable to perform some upcoming shows," he continued. "This is the right decision for me and my family, and I appreciate everyone's understanding and support."

He concluded, "I look forward to getting back out there later this summer and doing what I love most."

Fellow artists rally round

Although Moore did not disclose a specific reason for stepping back from his touring commitments, fellow country artists were quick to offer their encouragement in the comments section of his post.

"Take care of YOU brother and those kiddos and mama," Jake Owen wrote.

Priscilla Block commented, "love you JM."

According to his official website, the "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" singer still has performances booked through to the end of October.

Moore's latest music and life away from Nashville

Moore put out his most recent album, This Is My Dirt, in October 2024. Speaking with PEOPLE around the time of the title track's release, he opened up about his decision to leave Nashville and relocate to Arkansas with his wife and four children.

"I would not still be doing this for a living if I didn't live here," Moore said at the time. "I just wasn't happy. I don't think you can perform your best at your craft unless you're happy. It was the right move for us, and it's been wonderful."

Remaining in Nashville, he explained, had never been part of his long-term plan.

"I always just looked at it like a necessary part of my journey while I was trying to achieve my dreams," he said.
