Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have taken their relationship into the public eye in a significant way.
On Monday, the pop star and the former Canadian prime minister made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Tribeca Festival in New York City, where Trudeau, 54, showed his support at the premiere of Katy's concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.
For the occasion, Trudeau wore a formal black suit paired with a crisp white shirt. Perry — whose full name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson — opted for a halter-neck gown adorned with rose-like detailing, and styled her hair in an elegant updo.
On the red carpet, Trudeau was seen beaming throughout the event while Perry greeted fans with characteristic enthusiasm.

Speaking with People at the premiere, Perry drew a clear distinction between her new film and her 2012 documentary.
"This is very different than Part of Me," she said. "That was more of a documentary about my life, and this is really a concert experience at the highest level for the fans."
She added, "I mean, I'm doing all of this for my fans because they are the ones that have helped me along for all these years, over 18 years, and it's just such a fun thing to encapsulate."
The Roar singer also described her energy on tour as "incredible."
How their romance unfolded
Perry and Trudeau first attracted speculation about a possible romance in July 2025, when they were photographed together on the streets of Montreal before later being seen at dinner. Perry made the relationship official on Instagram on 6 December 2025, sharing photographs from a trip to Japan together.
Their relationship began a month after Perry and her former fiancé Orlando Bloom ended their engagement in June 2026. The former couple share a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Bloom.
