Hayden Panettiere and Tori Spelling cancel fan event over emergencies
Fans were disappointed after Hayden Panettiere and Tori Spelling canceled their convention appearances
Hayden Panettiere and Tori Spelling both withdrew from the Creep I.E. Aftermath horror convention in California over the weekend after separate emergencies forced them to cancel their scheduled appearances.
Event organizers first announced that Panettiere would no longer attend the July 11–12 convention, saying the actress had experienced an emergency and would instead appear at a future event.
A representative for the 36-year-old later confirmed the cancellation was due to a private family matter involving the health of an elderly relative.
Actress Dominique Swain was announced as her replacement.
Organisers later revealed that Tori Spelling, 53, had also pulled out because of an emergency, although no further details were provided.
Her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green stepped in to replace her.
The convention also saw several other celebrity schedule changes, with reports indicating that Christina Ricci, John Carroll Lynch, Carel Struycken, Jimmy Workman and Kevin Durand either cancelled or postponed their appearances.
Panettiere recently spoke about surrounding herself with positive people, saying she has learned from past challenges and remains focused on moving forward.
