Elizabeth Hurley reveals unexpected link to Miley before Billy Ray

Elizabeth Hurley admitted she was already familiar with Miley Cyrus long before she began dating the singer's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, thanks to her son Damian's love for Hannah Montana and Miley's music.

The actress shared the story during a recent appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, where she spoke about her relationship with Billy Ray's family and her admiration for Miley.

Hurley says son Damian introduced her to Miley

When host Andy Cohen asked whether she knew Miley before her romance with Billy Ray, Hurley said she had never met the singer but had been well aware of her for years.

"My son used to love Hannah Montana, so he loved Father Montana," Hurley said, referring to the hit Disney series. She added that Damian also loved Miley and frequently listened to her music.

Hurley recalled watching Miley's music videos with her son, including "Wrecking Ball," so often that she became very familiar with the singer.

"I knew I was going to like her and I do like her," she said, describing Miley as "adorable."

Romance with Billy Ray began years after they met

Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus confirmed their relationship in April 2025 by sharing a photo of themselves kissing on Easter. The couple first met while filming a Christmas movie together in 2022.

Since going public with their romance, Hurley has attended several events with Billy Ray, including the London premiere of Miley's visual album Something Beautiful in June 2025.

After the event, Hurley shared a photo of Miley and Damian on social media, writing, "The babies are all grown up."

Miley has supported her father's happiness

Miley has also publicly addressed her father's relationship, saying she is happy to see both of her parents move forward following their divorce.

In an interview with The New York Times last year, the singer said she now views her parents as individuals rather than as a couple.

"I can love them both as individuals instead of as a parental pairing," Miley said, adding that she was glad to see both her mother, Tish Cyrus, and her father find happiness in their new relationships.

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus ended their marriage in 2022 after more than 28 years together. Tish later married actor Dominic Purcell in 2023.
