Facebook and Instagram parent firm Meta employees have expressed disappointment in the company CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s leadership, an internal survey has revealed.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, the internal survey revealed that the majority of Meta employees are unhappy with Zuckerberg's leadership and only 26 percent of employees have shown confidence in his leadership.

The survey came after Zuckerberg, at the beginning of this year, had declared 2023 as the 'year of efficiency' and said that the company would focus on becoming 'stronger and more nimble'.

Unfortunately, in March this year, the tech firm announced to terminate another 10,000 employees after eliminating 11,000 workers last year.

The Wall Street Journal report – which indicates the internal survey was carried out between April 26 and May 10 – further said that Meta employees' morale has been hit following the mass layoffs made in the name of company restructuring.

Last month, Mark Zuckerberg discussed about “more stability and less bureaucracy” for Meta, as per the Washington Post reported.

The CEO said, "going through restructuring and layoffs and changes like this is obviously a very difficult thing. So it’s not like we’re going to end up in exactly the place that we were before because that wasn’t my goal. I wanted to get to a scrappier place."
