Watch: Missy Elliott gets everyone’s 'Freak On' at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Show
Missy Elliot became the first female rapper in history to be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Missy Elliot, also known as Misdemeanor, took the stage by storm as she became the first female rapper to be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday, November 3.
She rocked the stage in her shimmery, all-golden, chic look, singing an entrancing medley of her greatest hits, The Rain, Lose Control and Get Ur Freak On.
On Thursday, Elliot told Good Morning America’s host, Robin Roberts that it was always her passionate dream of becoming a “superstar… I never wavered. I never changed. I said it every time.”
Missy Elliot has now joined the Hall of Fame alongside a few other rappers. Their plaques are on display in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland.
