Russell Brand breaks his silence on latest charges

Russell Brand appears to respond to the new charges against him in a freshly shared social media video, offering a reflective prayer and saying he feels “blessed” for the chance to “atone” and for people to “understand the truth of my situation.”

He captioned the video, “Merry Christmas brothers and sisters. Accept all things, even trials as gifts from God. Jesus is real.”

British authorities recently charged the comedian with one count of rape and one of sexual assault, related to two additional women, expanding the legal case he was already facing in the UK.
