Actor Ed Harris opens up about his frustration with his initial TV role
Actor Ed Harris is speaking candidly about his initial frustration with his role in the Yellowstone prequel series Dutton Ranch. At a recent premiere event, the veteran star revealed to Variety that he felt misled about his character's prominence during season one. Prior to signing on, he was told he would be one of the four main characters, but during filming, he felt underused and relatively inconsequential.
The experience became so frustrating that halfway through production on the first season, Harris asked his team to get him out of the project. After voicing his concerns, he was assured that his character would have more to do in season two. Interestingly, Harris admitted that after watching the completed show, he felt his character was actually important to the overall story, even though it didn't feel that way while on set.
