Michael Jackson most awaited biopic's script slammed by director Dan Reed

Michael Jackson's highly anticipated biopic has sparked controversy as the director of the documentary Dan Reed detailed allegations of sexual abuse against the late pop icon and criticized the script draft.
According to the reports of Variety, the Leaving Netherland director voiced strong indignation at the film's portrayal of Wade Robson and James Safechuck's claim that Jackson was a pedophile, indicating it discredited their view.
“Jackson is only ever seen caring for children with childhood cancer, or dancing with a little girl in a wheelchair, or tucking up multiple little boys, mostly his nephews, at sleepovers,” Reed stated.

He went on to say, “It feels like the creators of the movie have been stuck in a room with John Branca and just told what to write.”
According to Deadline, Michael is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on April 18, 2025, with Universal overseeing distribution overseas.
Jackson's attorney throughout his career, Branca. will be played by Miles Teller.
Jaafar Jackson, Jackson's nephew will play the main character while Colman Domingo cast as Jackson's father, Joe, and Nia Long as Jackson's mother, Katherine.
The biographical musical drama, helmed by Antoine Fuqua and penned by John Logan, chronicles the life and extensive four-decade career of Michael Jackson.
