Amy Schumer makes official move to remove Chris Fischer as her husband
Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer had been married for seven years
Amy Schumer has officially decided that she longer needs Chris Fischer as her husband as the actress formally filed for divorce.
As reported by PEOPLE, New York County court records on Tuesday, January 6, showed, that the 44-year-old actress submitted documents for an "uncontested joint divorce."
This means that there are no disagreements between the Kinda Pregnant actress, who is a mother of 6-year-old son, and her 45-year-old estranged husband, over how to split finances, property and child custody in the breakup.
The filing comes less than one month after Schumer revealed herself via Instagram that she is parting ways with Fischer.
In a December 12 post, the I Feel Pretty performer wrote, "Chris and I have made a difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years."
She went on to say, "We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time."
The IF actress concluded that post by saying the split is "amicable and all love and respect! Family forever."
It’s worth mentioning here that Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer got married in February 2018.
They welcomed their son, Gene, a year later in May 2019.
