FilmSharks sells Spanish thriller 'Under Your Feet' globally before EFM
Buenos Aires' FilmSharks has secured distribution agreements for Spanish thriller 'Under Your Feet'
Based in Buenos Aires, FilmSharks has finalised numerous distribution deals for the Spanish thriller Under Your Feet (Bajo tus pies), which first appeared at Tallinn Black Nights.
The movie has been acquired by VerCine for a significant theatrical release in Spain. The distributor announced that the film is set to show on 120-150 screens starting May 8, 2026.
Under Your Feet is also set for release by Nashe Kino in Russia/CIS and by Entermode for cinemas in Korea.
Carlos Juarez of Basque Films produced the movie alongside Guido Rud of Filmsharks.
It tells the story of Isabel (Maribel Verdu), who relocates with her two kids to a prestigious building that has an unusual approval process but comes with very affordable rent.
After gaining acceptance and settling in, her life is disrupted by three elderly neighbors living downstairs.
Cristian Bernard directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Ana Villar. Alongside Verdú, the cast includes Sofía Otero, Urko Olazabal, Ibai Atanes, Zorion Eguileor, and Sandra Ferrús.
“We have here a uniquely remarkable visual treat for cinema enthusiasts, particularly those interested in fantasy and adventure, reminiscent of cherished films like The Goonies, Super 8, and Stranger Things,” mentioned Guido Rud of Filmsharks in a release. “We are already observing remake enthusiasts showing great interest in this treasure.”
