Chmerkovskiy and Earle made it to the DWTS finale, creating some of Johnson’s favorite dances ever.
Jenna Johnson is celebrating her husband Val Chmerkovskiy’s standout season on Dancing with the Stars, calling his recent partnership with Alix Earle nothing short of “magical.”
Reflecting on their journeys on the long-running dance competition, Johnson shared that she and Chmerkovskiy often alternate between highs and lows on the show, joking that their success tends to “flip-flop” each season.
While Johnson’s most recent pairing saw her exit earlier in the competition, Chmerkovskiy made it all the way to the finale alongside Earle, ultimately finishing as runner-up.
According to Johnson, the pairing stood out not only for their performances but also for their chemistry.
“It was so incredible because Alix is one of a kind,” Johnson said, praising the influencer’s talent and personality.
She added that Earle’s willingness to embrace challenges played a key role in their success, noting that Chmerkovskiy pushed her to excel while she remained open and committed throughout the process.
Johnson also highlighted the audience’s strong connection to the duo, saying viewers “fell in love” with Earle over the course of the season.
She described their routines as some of her husband’s best work on the show, calling the partnership “epic” to watch.
Both Johnson and Chmerkovskiy have built impressive careers on Dancing with the Stars.
Chmerkovskiy, who joined the series in 2011, has claimed multiple Mirrorball Trophy wins, while Johnson, a cast member since 2014, has also secured victories with several partners over the years.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, continue to be fan favorites on the show, balancing their professional achievements with family life as they share one child.
