Kylie Kelce sets boundaries 'don’t ask me about my weight or future kids'

Kylie Kelce is marking the first anniversary of her daughter Finnley Finn with a message for anyone navigating conversations with postpartum women.

On this week’s episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, the mom of four opened up about her own postpartum journey and offered a candid list of questions people should never ask new moms.

“This time with some updates, presenting the dos and don'ts of talking to postpartum women one year after giving birth,” Kelce began.

Kelce didn’t mince words about inquiries into pre-baby bodies. “Don’t ask her if she's back to her pre-baby weight yet,” she said.

“Pre-baby body, Kylie? I don’t know her. My body built a whole ass human being, okay?” She emphasized that even seemingly innocent questions about weight can be harmful or insensitive.

Unless you’re particularly close with the mom, Kelce advised against asking when the next child is coming or if parents are trying for a boy.

“I swear to God. Don’t ask me,” she said, reflecting on her own experience raising four daughters in six years with husband Jason Kelce.

Kelce also cautioned against comparing kids’ development. “Wyatt was an early talker.

Ellie didn’t speak until about 18 months. They were in the same house, raised the same way,” she explained.

“Mind you, they were seventeen months apart. Cut it out. Don’t let comparisons steal the joy of watching your kids grow.”

Instead of probing about weight, future pregnancies, or developmental milestones, Kelce encouraged asking postpartum mothers how they’re feeling, a question she calls “great” and meaningful.
