Polymarket traders favour Bruno Mars to dominate April streaming following latest album release

Bruno Mars leads Kanye West in Spotify artist crown projections

Kanye West is currently dominating global music charts with his latest album, Bully, yet betting platform data suggests he remains significantly behind his peer, Bruno Mars.

According to traders on Polymarket, Mars holds an overwhelming 92% chance of securing the Spotify crown for April.

This surge in confidence follows the February release of his fourth studio album, The Romantic, which has maintained a consistent lead in streaming projections.

While West’s recent tracks have seen immense success, the suave musician’s appeal on the platform currently leaves West "trailing miles behind."

However, analysts note that the unpredictable nature of the social media age means the Bully artist’s prospects for a viral shift cannot be entirely dismissed.

As West prepares for his first UK performance in over a decade at Wireless Festival, he faces intense criticism from the Jewish Leadership Council.

The group has formally condemned the headline invitation, citing West’s history of "anti-Semitic rhetoric and pro-Nazi messaging" as a severe concern.

"It is deeply irresponsible for Wireless Festival to be headlining Kanye West," a spokesperson stated, referencing recent record levels of antisemitism in the UK.

The council argued that despite his recent apologies, his past actions—including the reported sale of offensive apparel and controversial song titles—make him an unsuitable candidate for such a prominent British platform.

The controversy comes during a period of record-breaking attendance for UK music festivals. Wireless Festival organisers have yet to issue a formal response to the Jewish Leadership Council’s statement.

As the April streaming window opens, the industry remains focused on whether West’s musical momentum can overcome the significant lead currently held by Bruno Mars.
