Major update at Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis' school

The operations at the educational institution attended by the Prince and Princess of Wales's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have undergone notable changes since their enrollment, as the school has adjusted to instructing the future monarch of the United Kingdom.

In 2022, George, then 13, commenced his studies at Lambrook School in Berkshire following his family's relocation from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

Charlotte, aged ten, and Louis, aged seven, joined their older brother at this mixed-gender preparatory school.

Upon their move to the school near Ascot, Lambrook's head, Jonathan Perry, expressed: "We are thrilled to have Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis join us this September. We eagerly await welcoming their family, along with all our new students, into our school community."

According to Melanie Sanderson, editorial manager of the Good Schools Guide, numerous adjustments have been made in how the school is managed since the young royals became part of it.

In a discussion on HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast, she mentioned that the school has taken on a "slightly more distinguished" air and security measures have increased, catering to the royal children's status.

Melanie disclosed: "The truth is, with the future King of England and his siblings attending, certain changes were inevitable."

"Previously, it was quite an open campus — if a child forgot something at home, you could easily drop it off. However, I hear it is now more restricted, which makes perfect sense," the editor remarked.

She further described how events have evolved since the royals arrived: "I've been informed that events like the Christmas Carol service and fairs are now more elaborate than before, which is, again, understandable.

"Naturally, you would want to showcase your best efforts when hosting the royals."

In another segment of the podcast, the editor provided insights into potential future educational paths for the prospective King.

George is set to complete his four-year preparatory school education this year and will commence secondary school in September.

While Prince William attended Eton College in Berkshire—alongside his brother, Prince Harry—it remains uncertain if George will follow their educational route.

During her conversation, Melanie speculated that William and Kate might be holding several places at various schools as they weigh their options.

She noted: "For most families, confirmations need to be swift to ensure their child's acceptance. Most would be confirming placements for secondary education in the upcoming weeks.

"It seems as if the Waleses might be securing multiple placements at different institutions. If a definitive choice had been made, it's likely the information would have become public."
