Kylie Jenner remains super involved in Kylie Cosmetics after sale

Kylie Jenner has clarified her ongoing commitment to her eponymous beauty brand, asserting that she remains "super involved" despite selling a controlling stake to Coty Inc. in 2019.

During an appearance on Kid Cudi’s new Big Bro podcast, the 28-year-old entrepreneur addressed misconceptions regarding her current role within the six-hundred-million-dollar venture.

Jenner is adamant that she still oversees the creative and digital directions of the business, particularly its massive social media presence.

"I'm super involved. Like, really crazy about everything. I do the Instagram. I do all the posts," she explained. This hands-on approach persists even as the company, which began as "Lip Kit by Kylie" in 2015, has expanded into a comprehensive global line of cosmetics and skincare.

Reflecting on the brand's early success, Jenner confessed to Dazed magazine that she was initially unaware of the vast sums she was earning.

"I didn’t have my Shopify account password, and I didn’t know how much money I was making," she admitted. For the first year, Jenner focused entirely on the creative process, only discovering the true scale of her wealth once she gained account access.

Looking towards the future, the reality television star hopes to transform the company into a multi-generational "legacy brand."

She revealed her dream is for her seven-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, to eventually take over the leadership.

"I’m working hard every day to set up that future," Jenner noted, as she celebrates a decade of innovation within the competitive beauty industry.
